The Globe Industrial Microbiology Congress (GIM) was originated in 1970 under the auspices of the International Committee of the Genetics of Industrial Microorganisms (GIM-IC), which was reorganized as the Global Industrial Microbiology Society (GIM) in 2019, and the Metabolic Engineering Summit (MES) was initiated by the International Metabolic Engineering Society (IMES) in 2015. As internationally reputed biannual conferences, the 15th GIM & MES 2024 will be held jointly on September 20-25, 2024 in Shanghai, China. The aims of these events are to advance fundamental researches and technological innovations on microbial genetics and metabolic engineering technologies for applications in industrial production.
