The 5th BigC (Bio Incheon Global Conference) has held virtually in Songdo Convensia, Incheon, Korea on August 25th, 2020. This year's topic was "CoViD-19", the on-going pandemic health issue of the world. BigC is the biggest annual international biotechnology conference of Incheon, which has been co-organized by AFOB (Asian Federation of Biotechnology) and ITO (Incheon Tourism Organization) and hosted by Incheon Metropolitan City. The entire BigC 2020 confernece was broadcasted live with simultaneous translation and over 10,000 views with more than 2,000 concurrent connections, which was a huge success for the first virtual event of AFOB.

AFOB invited the most prestigious speakers from AFOB member countries in 3 plenary speakers and 4 session. The plenary speakers were Prof. Yong Seok Jeong (Professor, Kyung Hee University, Korea), Dr. Jerome H. Kim (Director General, International Vaccine Institute, UN) and Dr. George Gao (Director General, Chinese CDC, China). Four sessions were (i) Science of SARS-CoV-2, (ii) Diagnosis & Prevention of CoViD-19, (iii) Vaccines & Therapeutics for CoViD-19, and (iv) AFOB Workshop on the Prediction of the Economy After CoViD-19.
